Welcome to NotSkype

NotSkype is a revival service for classic instant messaging clients.

Our focus is to bring back as much functionality to Skype (our main focus and the reason this was started), as well as other IM clients, so that they may, once again, connect and communicate.

Why bother??

These older chat applications were more than a contact list and a chat box: their sounds and design defined how people communicated online. With the original servers now long gone, these legacy clients cannot do anything on their own.

We built NotSkype to provide like-minded users with a familiar interface, as well as new users who want to check these old versions out!
